This release introduces richer diagnostics in `codex doctor`, providing detailed environment, Git, terminal, app-server, and thread information for support. The `/status` command now displays remote connection details and server version when connected remotely. Vim mode receives significant enhancements, including text-object editing, improved word/line-end behavior, and a configurable keybinding for interrupting turns. The `/permissions` command now supports named permission profiles, displaying configured custom profiles. Packaged Codex builds can now discover and utilize the bundled patched zsh helper on macOS and Linux. The Python SDK gains friendly `Sandbox` presets for thread and turn APIs, simplifying sandbox configuration. Markdown tables and multiline lists render more readably in the TUI. TUI output is more stable on macOS and Zellij, preventing corruption. Slash-command completion now preserves existing draft text. A new environment variable, `CODEX_NON_INTERACTIVE=1`, enables non-interactive installation. Older tmux/iTerm sessions retain normal `Ctrl-C` handling. App mentions exclude inaccessible apps. Resume flows include non-interactive exec sessions and honor cwd overrides. It is recommended to upgrade to this version for improved stability, enhanced features, and better diagnostics.
